Facilitating Strategic Social Change

Research

An Asian Women’s FUnd supported by FWASIA, The Women’s Foundation in Hong Kong, commissioned a benchmark study, ”The Status of Women and Girls in Hong Kong, 2006,”
to be used to educate the public and aid in collaborating with others to generate strategic solutions. A team of ten researchers, nine women and one man, worked on this comprehensive literature review covering the period from 1999-2004. All the individuals
have experience in gender research, most having obtained a postgraduate degree in
Women Studies from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Phase I was the collection of existing research, and analysis of that research to identify missing components necessary
for future original research.
